  • I am under 18 can I have a tattoo ?
It is not necessary for you to shave prior to your appointment. We will shave before any and every tattoo. We shave not only to get any hairs removed from the area, but also to scrape away any dead skin cells or any kind of bacteria as part of our cleaning preparation before applying the tattoo. But keep in mind, you cannot shave over the top of a healing tattoo. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for the healing process of your new tattoo before you run a razor over the surface. Otherwise you can cause serious complications to the healing of your new tattoo.
  • Can i get a tattoo if i am sick?
We recommend that you do not get a tattoo while you are sick. When your immune system is already compromised, it can put you at risk of an infection if your body is not able to fight off any other infections. Please be honest with our artists if you are not feeling well prior to your appointment. We do not want to put others at risk of catching any illness either.
  • What do i need to do before and after a tattoo?
Before your tattoo you can eat a full meal. Drink plenty of water. Avoid drugs or alcohol. Avoid aspirin or any other blood-thinning medicine. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring valid form of I.D. After a tattoo, please follow the aftercare instructions given to you by your artist. Keep the area clean and moisturized. Avoid touching the tattoo with your hands. Avoid submerging the tattoo in water for at least 2 weeks. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or tanning beds. Avoid scratching or picking at the tattoo. Be mindful of any signs of infection, such as redness, swelling or discharge, and seek medical attention if necessary.
  • How Long Does it Take to Heal?
The healing process can vary depending on the size, location, and complexity of the design. It can also depend on the persons overall health and how well they take care of the tattoo. Generally it takes about 2-3 weeks for the outer layers of skin to heal, and about 4-6 weeks for the deeper layers to heal completely. It can also vary from person to person, so please be patient with the healing process and follow your after-care instructions and if you have any questions please reach out to your artist.
